Reflow Profile Builder for process engineers

Build a reflow profile in the same visual language as the SMTInsider workbench: distinct thermal zones, a liquidus guide, instant IPC checking, and exportable charts for review or NPI work.

Covers
Preheat, soak, reflow, cooling
Best For
NPI, oven setup, process review
Output
Chart + compliance table + PNG

What the profile shows

The zone breakdown makes it easy to see where the process window becomes too aggressive or too soft for the selected alloy.

Why liquidus matters

Time above liquidus defines the real wetting window, which is why that line is treated as its own visual reference.

How to read the status

A green state means the main IPC-7711 limits are still respected; red shows which parameters need profile adjustment.

IPC Release Signal
PASS
All key profile limits are inside the recommended operating window.
Peak Temperature
220°C
Target peak temperature for the selected alloy mode.
Total Profile
0s
Combined duration of all zones from start to end of cooling.

Zone-based reflow profile

Orange, yellow, red, and blue layers mirror the same visual signaling used across the main SMTInsider calculators.

IPC-7711 Compliance Check

Statuses update in real time. If something breaks the window, the failing portion of the profile is clear immediately.

Soak zone

A short soak can reduce thermal equalization across the board, while an overly long soak adds unnecessary heat load before real reflow begins.

Cooling Rate

An overly aggressive cooling slope can add mechanical stress, which is why cooling rate is part of the compliance check as well.
